@The096757 Bardot popularized the resort of Saint Tropez, which, when she used to go there in the very early sixties, was a quiet fishing village. Once the world realized BB hung out there it turned almost overnight into a tourist trap and Madision Avenue came up with the tanning product connection. The original Ban de Soleil commercials aired in the sixties (tv and radio) with a female singer crooning the sexy jingle. I don't think it was Phyllis Hyman back then however.

it might be for the 1987 commercial but not the original radio commercial aired from 1978 to about 1981.
