  • I love Carmen's arrangement of this song, that she inspired me to perform it in her style.

  • my favorite jazz singer and this album, I'm Coning Home Again, was the first Carmen I bought

  • @luc1627 It sure is...he's simply talking to her....WOW! Check out the album "Carmen McRae I'm Coming Home Again" a dynamite group of accompanying musicians: Hank Crawford, Hubert Laws, Freddie Hubbard, Grover Washington, Cornell Dupree, etc & of course Mr. Williams himself...a must buy!

  • My best are first to last, Ella, Sarah, Nancy, Nina Simone, Gloria, Dakota Staton

  • Anything Carmen sings is da bomb. I love her. Grew up with her singing. My parents listened to her, so did I. Carmen and Sarah are the best jazz singers of all time. Billie Holliday set the stage, but I have to be in the mood to listen to her. I can listen to Carmen and Ella at any time.

  • I guess the bassist is buster williams

  • My second fave. First is Sass, then Carmen, then Ella, then Shirley Horne, then Lorez, then Gloria Lynn, Nancy Wilson...

  • sounds like Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen

  • Amazing version of Masquerade, anyone know who's on the bass?

  • Thank you!

I love listening to Carmen McRae
