Yes let people sing songs and love each other, so long as they are not gay, because being gay is a sin and the bible tells us to beat gay people to death with rocks, but God says that si alright so it is. In any case, anyone who is not worshipping jesus is going to go to Hell anyway, so we can treat them as our own neighbours secure int he knowledge that they will be screaming in agony for all of eternity and we won't.

@godof79 Why do you care? A bunch of people sing songs and teach each other how to love everybody equally, never steal and treat everyone like their own neighbors and family. How is that a problem?

Do Christians still lie, cheat, steal and murder? Sure. But that's the whole point. Humans are weak, and it's a lot of work to be a cool person.

@godof79 First there is absolutely nothing, and then suddenly all of the newtonian laws of physics, radiation, and fury exist. If we'd researched science into the modern era and found that the universe had always existed, and that galaxies just form and fall apart and then reform, my faith would have taken a big hit -- but it didn't. The fact that the bible indicates that God made the earth on day 6 doesn't phase me. Did preliterate societies need a complex account? No. The love is what matters.
