  • I'm looking to try a new style or two of whiskey, but not sure which way to go. low price range, below 40 bucks.

  • @DRUNKASSPUNK800 I'd give Elmer T. Lee a try, Elijah Craig 12 year as well. Just a few suggestions.

  • hey i am looking for a good whiskey to start drinkin .. any ideas on what i could enjoy and not hate my life the whole time im drinking ???

  • @misterstafford69 I can offer a couple of suggestions. Any price range you have in mind? Do you like sweeter/smoother or spicy/bolder bourbons?

  • Thanks for the comment. By law, anything labeled a "Bourbon" cannot have any additive of color other than what occurs naturally from the charred/toasted wood. Just FYI.

  • Low volume,.., speak up! I can't hear you!

  • @MM4L94066 Thanks for the feedback. I had some severe struggles with the volume early on. Please check the latest reviews and let me know if they are clear for you. Would love to know your feedback.

  • You need to buy some Glencairn glasses, my friend.

  • @jmpyle1 Alright thanks man.

  • Have you tried the makers mark black label ? It is called makers mark select it is 95 proof it is a more robust full flavored whiskey...

  • Damn .. Didnt think this would be suck a good review. Awesome info

  • If I recall, Compass Box tried a similar process (the addition of toasted oak staves to the whisky) in their Spice Tree blended whisky but the company got in trouble with the Scotch Whisky Association. It's a good thing Maker's Mark is making bourbon not Scotch.

  • I want to try Makers Mark 46. The original is ok I'm actually drinking some right now but my favorite bourbon is Knob Creek. I still need to try Bookers and Knob Creek signal barrel.

  • So this is like Maker's Mark 2.0, huh? But with a touch of maple syrup.

Sounds awesome. Maker's Mark is so solid, and it's amazing that such a solid bourbon has become available pretty much everywhere.
