@MihiLibertas 1st, it's not the sewer, it is a drain for the pool. the "paint" you refer to is most likely marble/algae. even if it were paint, it is fully cured.
Are you kidding me? I work for an Industrial painting/ coatings company and we have 3 Industrial ultra high pressure washers that run 40,000 psi. I have no idea what sallys you are talking to but we hop on that thing and run for 4 hours straight easily, its all about technique and a little old fashioned elbow grease my friend. It takes every bit of that 40,000 to strip some of these Flake tank linings, great for lead abatement too.
eohunter, I worked for Waste Management, Hydro Svs. and Brand Precision and also blasted. Your correct in your analagy except NLB pumps for example are either 10K @125 hp =17 GPM, 10k @150 hp=25 GPM or 10k@250 hp= up to 63 GPM in 5th gear although you will never see that volume even through 3/4" HP hose. 20k NLB pump =7 GPM.Lucky to say never been cut but a few close calls. We also cut for hazardous atmospheres. How about you?
I am a supervisor for hydrochem industrial services. generally speaking with lower pressures around 10k on a 2 to 3 hundred horse pump you are normally pushing up to a volume of 30 gal per min shotgunning. I have a uhp 40k waterlazer which if you are shotgunning produces very little backpressure and the total water volume is only around 5 to 6 gpm. the type of gun, dump system, and tip used also will affect your handling
Call 1 800 827 8790 M.P.W. industrial services and ask about Oscar and Felix they are 2 16 cylinder train motors used now for hydro demolitions they put out 10.5k but they have a volume of 500 gallons a minute and that would blow any blast gun to pieces. hell the hoses are 1 inch hammerlock and they blow from time to time
that would be plaster not paint.
