This is a concept video for an educational series I might do for how to use your BlackBerry. In this case, I'm pairing my Aliph Jawbone to my BlackBerry Curve 8330. Very easy lesson and one most BB owners should already know, but this makes for an easy test.

For those curious, I used BBScreenStream for the screen capture, found at http://oppitronic.de/pb/bbscreenstream.php

  • i have a t-mobile blackberry pearl 8120 and it does not want to pair up with a verizon bluetooth. Well my cousin used it on her Blackberry bt she had the Blackberry with Verizon and it worked perfectly fine, But it won't find it on my Blackberry.

  • I'm not sure whether Verizon-branded Bluetooth headsets are "carrier locked" or not. From your description, I'd suspect they are. Refer to the manual to make sure you've placed the headset in pairing mode. Barring that, there may be no hope. :-(

  • Thanks :)

I also couldn't help noticing that in your blackberry menu on the AIM applications right side theres an MSN icon. Did you download this app? Looks like you have Mozilla Firefox too .. Anyway Thanks

  • You're welcome, Challehx.

And yes, I downloaded AIM and MSN separately. I don't have Firefox on there (you might be thinking of that 'O' looking icon, which is Shozu). If you have a BlackBerry, just do a Google search for "AIM BlackBerry" and "MSN BlackBerry" from the phone to download those directly.

(By the way, I'm currently digging Opera Mobile, which seems to display websites better than the built-in BlackBerry browser. Check that out, too.)

  • Actually, make that Opera Mini.

  • You're welcome! I have some other ideas for this as a series, so this may in fact come to pass.
