Surely using and crediting a song and the artist is free advertising for them? I think Youtube works in their favour, I've download hundreds of songs that I wouldn't have found if it wasn't for Youtube.
These laws are bullshit.

The only thing that is messed up about this rant is this. The video was only blocked in YOUR country alone. I have a song from UMG in one of my videos, and it says video is blocked in the following countries. So the only reason your video was blocked was due to region. =[

I had a video with a Styx song and UMG allowed it. I uploaded another video with a different Styx song and UMG takes it down. Seriously wtf?!

Somebody should use one of UMG's Christian label groups on a video, like Trin-I-Tee 5:7 or whoever, and see if God strikes UMG dead for removing a song about Him. That'd be frickin awesome.

The same has happened to me a few times before and it's so annoying. Why they can't just let you post them is beyond me.... I could understand if you have a free download link with it but if you don't there really shouldn't be a problem!
