Yeah, they can fly short distances - they prefer to run, though. They don't actually "Beep" but I've heard them make a strange clicking sound. Very cool birds!

Don't feel like arguing with anyone, so I'll just simply state that I grew up watching The Coyote & Roadrunner Show every Saturday morning, and he ALWAYS said "Beep, Beep" If you don't believe it, just check out some of these clips to the right -------->
Clearly, you find THE WORDS "Beep, Beep" in practically every episode. So whoever uploaded this video is 100% right!!!

Roadrunners are all across the southwest US (Arizona, Nevada, southern Utah and desert areas of Californa.) Lupo, the black cat in the video, even brought one in our house thru his cat door. We found it unharmed on a shelf in the bedroom closet!

Yeah, the music is fun, but I originally used the Roadrunner cartoon music by Barenaked Ladies, which was even better. Too bad I was told to stop using it. I wasn't profiting from it, but whatever...
