  • they're SO awesome in concert....

To each his own, but childishly stating VH's version is better is just ignorant & lacks insight

VH can only mimic the genius presented by The Kinks--I mean, this song is from FRIKKIN 1965! It was ASS KICKING ORIGINAL. There'd BE no VH version if not for The Kinks.

They're revered for their contribution to Rock--their originality, versatility, breadth of talent, which has endured for 45 years--and their fan-base is still growing!

    is VH's fan-base? doubtful

  • lead singer took a little too much cocaine before the show? anyways great song

  • ROCK N ROLL

  • Wow! Many thanks to the guy who uploaded this awesome performance!

  • when and why did ray davies turn into mick jagger?

  • @slippp40 I think he took just the right amount of cocaine.. look at that performance. Magic.

  • @highroadnow You've probably heard this a lot by now, but VH covered You Really Got Me, not All Day And All Of The Night. Lacking insight? :P

  • Rock bands will come, rock bands will go. But rock and roll is gonna live forever!!

  • Ray. Fucking. Davies.

  • Long before Liam and Noel,Ray and Dave were fist fighting on stage,God love them. They had a punk sensibility 15 years before punk existed. All Day and ALL of the Night, and You Really Got Me were ground breaking at the time. The only reason they don't seem so today is because they've been imitated, ripped off,and cannibalized so often since.

  • Respond to this video... But punk bands can be extremely tight with time and all.

  • @tbmang12 Yeah I agree that these guys are underrated for sure. Also they were sloppy, but I don't think that they would be the Kinks if they sounded clean and tight. I sorta see them as a larger influence of the punk movement in the 70s and 80s. Kindly, A Fan
