Charles Walbran ex-RAF and Barrie Davies ex-Army Air Corps have had wrist bands made as seen at the end of this video for people who make donations via us for the Bomber Command Memorial Fund. Working for the BCMF Association, we are offering, when a donation of 2 pounds (or more) in UK, 2 Euros (or more) in Europe is made, a FREE wrist band carrying the name RAF Bomber Command Memorial, the words THEY GAVE EVERYTHING and the number of aircrew who died during WWII 55,573 in red. They will then be helping us to achieve our object. See the following link for more information.
A wristband is obtainable by sending an email with a request for info to bombercommandnl @ gmail.com remove spaces on either side of the @ to use.

  • can you tell me what the 7 man statue is called please at the beginning of your video

  • @yterrier73 I don't know, to be honest, but it represents a Bomber crew just back from a sortie and still in their flying kit. As soon as I find out I will post the name on here. BTW they knew that the average Bomber crew member didn't get past 5 sorties ! And yet they still flew on.

  • So whats happened with the memorial? AFAIK, they had to show that they had the cash to do it by the 31st October. Has the required sum been acquired?

  • @Hanglands Just heard that the reason we haven't heard if it's on or off is they are still counting !! A pretty feeble excuse I reckon but I think it will include a lot of back-ground dealing to get promises to cover the project. At least it hasn't been put off .... yet !

  • my father inlaw , who is still alive, was a rear gunner in a bomber ww2

  • @yterrier73 i have so much respect for those guys, you wouldn't get that now a days. thank you for replying

  • Why was there not a memorial already !

While the DAMNED pope's visit cost millions and the DAMNED EU gets millions every day !

To HELL with TREATY OF ROME .

  • @Hanglands That web site is really only for people who know nothing about WWII and what the RAF did. At Robin Gibbs concert in Amsterdam a few weeks ago we had a stall there and I was amazied at some of the questions (and attitudes) we got. A lot of people, especially in the 20 - 30 age area, had no idea of the evil that was taking place and why we had to be harsh. Kids seemed to know more than their elders.

  • @Rhydian2252 Thanks mate. Couldnt even find the info on theygaveevrything

  • @Hanglands I will let you konw what's the score as soon as I know myself, on this comments page !

  • @Rhydian2252 OK, its good that the end of October wasnt the end of all things, but by mid October there was still £1.9 million short... whats the state of play now? Thanks for the info.
