THEY SHOULD LEAVE THE POLICY AS IT IS. THE TROOPS DO NOT WANT THE POLICY TO END. SERVICEMEMBERS DO WANT TO SERVE ALONGSIDE OPENLY GAY SERVICEMEMBERS IN THE EXTREMELY CLOSE QUARTERS IN WHICH THEY LIVE.

CAPT Darrah:
From one Navy veteran to another I salute you for your service in both the military and helping overturn DADT.

Why should we defend a country that doesn't have or has never had equal rights for all its Citizens. I was born American, but glad to leave and drop my citizenship for a better country and better and more enlightened culture.
Thank you Captain Darrah, for your service and for your courage to tell us all how wrong this stupid law is.

What I have to say to that is our military is founded on unwavering professionalism. Armed Servicemen are expected and instructed to act the way they they are commanded (which in our military is with the utmost professionalism) Therfore, if our president or congress were to abolish don't ask, don't tell, servicemen will be required to put their personal ideology aside and complete the mission they are assigned. Which I'm very certain isnt, beat and kill that homosexual.
