Maher's point is one I've made before on various forums. I'm not in favor of gun control, simply because it's a political loser. You get voted out of office if you dare vote for any gun control no matter how reasonable it may seem--like background checks. Still, I get sick of the bogus arguments, for example, how guns are needed to "protect us from the government." Get real. Iraq was awash with guns, but it didn't protect them from Saddam Hussein. Can we just admit that we love our guns?

@MrBoogerhook I'm starting to think that you cant back up what you're saying and dont want to admit youre wrong. I dont get where you got the idea that I'm a bastard child, my dad lives with me and is not a maniac and is still married to my mom and he does not own a gun. 1 in 3 kids in the US have absent fathers so I dont know wtf ur talking about. And I'm not mad that I'm Canadian, bitch I'm proud! Not only do we make awesome bacon but no other American coffee place compares to Tim Horton's.
