My bestfriends father used to be a drunk. He came home drank. Woke up drank. Anything he did he was drinking while doing it.

Then we played this song for her dad.

He hasn't had a beer in his hand in a year an three months.

Right around the time my son was born, I was struggling with alcohol abuse... This song really helped me see what I was doing to myself and what I could do to him if I didn't get it under control. It took me a while, but I've been almost completely sober for over a year now. Some songs have an ability to touch you deeply. This one was one for me. Thank you for posting it.

this makes me think of my dad he drinks...a lot and it hurts me and i just tell myself he'll get help one day but i know he won't and i can't do anything to help him unless he wants it...and i don't think he does
