Teejay - The Friendly Beasts.mpg

Teejay -- Christmas Reconstructed -- Here's another not-so-common carol. I've heard only a few dozen iterations of this throughout my lifetime... and in all honesty, I never really cared for any of them. Most were slow and almost dirge-like, and sung (by their various artists) in pious, pompous, "holy tones" that robbed the carol of any innate joy or happiness.

I decided to take a crack at changing that, so I rallied several assistants, in the form of the Youngbloods, Information Society, The The, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, David Bowie, Paperboy, and maybe a few more tossed in there, and tried for a combination of hippie / urban feel... think of it as if the Crips and Bloods took over Haight Ashbury at Christmas, and there was a lot of good will among everybody...

Ah, nevermind. Here are the beasts, telling their jolly tale... plus a new verse I penned myself, because no nativity scene could be complete without a puppy.
