  • are you sure that the record is 10 cause i did 5 once

  • Slackerslave, i think you misunderstood something, i meant my record is 10 :) Any gymnast can do much better than that. Right now, i can do 10 all the way down.

  • hiho! you have to touch the ground wth your face =) and train your balance a bit more :P shit song but nice strengh.

  • i gave up doing those (half) handstand push ups long ago )) Now i got to 9 (chin to the floor) handstand push ups =)I also improved my result in bench-press from 72,5kg 7 reps to 100kg 2 reps in 2,5 months by doing lots of handstand push ups so they are helpful lol!

  • To be honest, if you could do 7 reps at 72.5 kg, then you would have always been able to do 2 reps of 100kg. Vertical pushups wont really do much in helping your bench press. Vertical pushups works your anterior deltoid while bench press is working the pecs. However the tricep is used alot in both so this may help. If your wanting to see an improvement, do 7 reps at 100!

  • You must be kidding, right? if you can do 7 reps with 72.5kg, it doesn't mean that you can even bench 80kg. It takes time for your muscles to get used to bigger weights. And there was actually a formula for counting your 1RM, but reality is always different. Handstand pushups help with arm strength required for bench-press. I did 8 reps with 110kg on a decline yesterday and then set my new record 120kg - 2 reps so i keep progressing as you can see.

  • bad form, better postition is more balence and touch your nose to the ground

  • ......... i did 5 stadin in one spot........ no movment what so ever. then i started walking around and did like 9 .. nothing harddd

  • @banditDK17 hey i do handstand pushup with my hand slightly outside my shoulder and I think is much harder than the hands width your doing... what do you think of closer handstand pushing?

  • the guy was also a runner, unlike me, and he had better lungs than I did. Thats what created the illusion of greater strength, especially during volume work!

  • of a drag. I'm not sure which is better: Absolute strength, or Relative strength. Now, I'm on my way to doing pushups at an angle, cause going past 55 or so repetitons (as with anything) only builds stamina, and not strength. Maybe one day I'll be able to do vertical pushups like you. Another thing I noticed: Sometimes, when there was a guy who could pump out more repetitions than me on the bench press, I wrongly assumed he was stronger than me. As I later found out,

  • Nice job. Alot of people bash equilibrics (like handstand pushups), but what those people don't realise is that theres not one in fifty guys with even a 300-pound bench press can do 50 honest push-ups! And thats just horizontal pushups, not vertical like you do! I must admit that I was once one of 'those guys'. I had a 280 lbs benchpress, but I could only do 32 horizontal pushups. Now, I've trained to overcome that. I can actually do 55 pushups, but am down to a 210 lbs benchpress, which is sort

  • hey, dont cheat! Pick a floor with your nose at the lowest point of pushup))

  • Haha, his personal record, not the world record. :P

  • dang i can only do 16 against wall. Can someone teach me how to balance handstand without falling? And how to do handstand from sitting position. Thanks in advance! Dare not do handstand without wall more than a meter away from me

  • Well done, man. I bet if you had your legs leaning against a wall, so you don't do the balancing choir, you could've probably done much more. Since your efforts wouldn't be divided by push up and maintain balance, it would be concentrated on the strength. But doing the balancing is the harder task, and that's prolly the better one to work on so good job.
