Donkey Basketball

Disrespect at its best in a place of education no less. This is an educational picture video showing photos of donkeys used for a fundraising project at a Michigan high school. It may be fun and games for those who want the money and choose to participate in the "game". But does it appear this is really fun for the donkeys?
Quote from a high school student: "It is stupid, anyone with a brain can tell they (donkeys) do not want to be doing this."

The best way to deal with a stubborn donkey, is to get a strap and pop the donkey on his backside, as hard as you can , repeatedly. You will be able to have a nice smooth ride after that.

LMAO. You people have no clue!! These donkeys are bred and raised FOR donkey basketball. They are 100% used to this environment and those who participate are heavily instructed to be kind to them. The donkeys are not hurt in any way, shape, or form. Get a grip! If you had any idea how much brute strength a donkey has, you would know that riding them in this environment doesn't hurt them in the least. Idiots.

I see nothing appealing about an adult riding on a small animnal, tugging and holding on to the donkey's ears! They look terrifed not to mention the loudness of the crowd!

How about next year we use those *humans* who find this funny- as the donkeys instead- Large adults can ride your back then you can look like the jack@ss whose being abused?!

Is everyone on here that states donkey basketball is cruel know anything about donkey or just animals in general? I grew up in the business of donkey basketball! That was me in the video. the guy with no face lol! I'm kinda interested in knowing what it is that is cruel about the sport. Tell me what's cruel about it. So I can prove you wrong

"fun to watch". please remember what you watch might be fun for you but not the animals who have no choice. notice in the video they often show expression of fear and want out of there? i saw several going for that exit door. why was that? let us think of others and not just ourselves.

West Texas A&M University along with SAGE is hosting a donkey ball tournament fundraiser provided by Dairyland Donkey Ball on March 28th at 7:00pm. PLEASE WRITE MY SCHOOL AND LET THEM KNOW OF YOUR DISGUST! I am very ashamed of this seeing as how I am a proud student of WT. *shakes head*
