To build houses for the less fortunate people they can call home gives them hope. But to show them a way to sustain their livelihood gives them dignity. This movement is truly inspirational because it makes the less fortunate people stop depending on the "hand-outs" from the government and charity from well-off people. In short, it breaks the cycle of poverty.

Punishing people for life experiences really is not the answer. I Love the Philippines, I have been there so this is not an attack on the country. I plan to retire there someday. What needs to happen is the Old Ways need to change. It is against the law to use birth control in the Philippines, this needs to change. The Filipino people need access to family planning and education. People are going to procreate, that is human nature. They need access to birth control devices.

@KuyaBillRomjue Thanks for taking the time to comment. The issue goes beyond birth control devices or making it a law. Transformation starts with the mindset at all levels of society. It is amazing what "truly caring" for others can bring about.

@ThePaulo73 Thanks for your comment. Maybe you should ask the Chinese from China. Poverty is not a lack of resources but a lack of caring and sharing. It's easiest to point fingers. Be part of the solution. Blaming is not the answer.
