The United States did not continue to pay homage to its British history after becoming independent. During WWII it is a fact, that it was efforts of the United States assisting Australians that prevented Australia from falling into Japanese occupation. The British deserted us at that point. Churchill having other plans.

I live in a DEMOCRACY, NOT a monarchy, and I detest monarchism being continually advertised.

  • @liverpoolmatt87 Interesting that UK holds 17th position on the World Official Gold Holding list and Australia just 35th and that while being 2nd largest producer of gold in the world.

Who is using AUSTRALIAN GOLD for its own advantage?

I’d like to say Fiji are removing the effigy of QE2 from their coinage and Jamaica is asserting its independency by breaking British ties.

  • @liverpoolmatt87 Backdated info and primitive interpretation as, no one buys it today. As a “ruler” QE2 did nothing specifically valuable or advantageous for Australia and its people so far. Instead, till today Australia regularly pays its OLD TRIBUTE to Britain by annually shipping gold to England, the reason the English Pound remains strong despite global economic instability.

  • @liverpoolmatt87 You've been feeding with wrong info.British invaded this continent purely for gaining power through resources little England never had.The QE2 was NEVER officially coronated as “Queen of Australia” in the Independent Nation of Australia. She is actually the Queen of a foreign power, which is Britain, therefore she must be removed from Australian coinage as foreign queen should not be a representative of the Commonwealth of Australia, have authority & access to our natural resources.

  • @liverpoolmatt87 and that's from the roy morgan's polls

  • @liverpoolmatt87 the aussie dollar was actually handled by the reserve bank of australia after pm robert menzies decided to shift from the australian pound to the australian dollar. and the aussie pound was actually handled by the commonwealth bank throughout the middle of the 20th century.

  • @DocWog @DocWog However, australia was born as a country through british colonialism and that's a historical fact that you can't deny mate. the aborigines were actually a group nations but they werent unified under a government. And fyi the union jack represents australia's british inheritance, it does not mean we're british it's just means our roots & institutions are. Lastly nobody want's a republic mate a clear majority of 55% of australian's are in favour of the keeping the monarchy.
