this marked the peak of totp...sioux doing playground twist and pil doing death disco on the same show, twas an amazing time to be a teenager!

she sing live with backing track which has backing vocals in it and prob lead vocal as well with level reduced TOTP policy stated for bands that they had to remix the track slightly from original released version for copyright reasons. Seeing great bandS onaThurs at 7pm on TOTP was inspiring they should bring it back immediately in the same slot it provided a snapshot every week of what is going on in 'music' & when it was shit it gave a kid a reason to want to form their own band and do better

Does anybody agree with me that the tempo and sweeping melody has similarities with the intro of Sparks' Falling In Love With Myself Again? Siouxie apparently liked them because she also covered This Town Ain't Big Enough... .

@hepoch That's bizarre, because at the point I heard this song it reminded me of Death Disco! You know, this really dark, grooving kind of 'post-punk dance'. Great songs above. Liked to have grown up then (in Engeland, because many of the great post-punk bands were largely ignored in Holland).
