Two very fine songs. Thanks for sharing.

This is it. Easily the best version of this song. As good as anything on SGT> PEPPER. I'd love to have this album.

@captainsoul1953 Hi from Barcelona. This song is very important in my life, but didn't know about this other version. Does anyone have them both (normal and rare) to share in mp3? I only have it in vinyl... and someone is throwing rocks at my window pane right now! Anyway, thanks for sharing through youtube

swaters, not quibbling, but this is more folk-rock than country rock, as was much of Hartford's work in that period.
-
I loved this song for years and then discovered he did a Part 2 on B-side of another later single. It wasn't a new version of the same tune, but an extension of the first one.

I have been looking for this song for years, but had forgotten the name. Thanks! It's such a great piece of writing in that early Country Rock, John Hartford style.

Wonderful to find this....I still have the album!

I really don't know how can anybody compare Johnny Rivers with Scott McKenzie. Scott's voice and arrangments are so beautiful that let any J.Rivers' song years back.
