the first Yankee home run that I witnessed at a game was by Roger Maris,on July 1961, he hit against Frank Lary. Maris belongs in the Hall of Fame. Alert those hosers to put him in the Hall.

Kudos to the Maris boys for handling baseball's elephant with class. I wouldn't have been so kind toward those filthy cocksuckers McGuire Sosa and Bonds who ass fucked baseball and all the truly great heros of the game. Don't expect any justice for Roger while that crooked bitch Selig remains in power but when he goes all true baseball fans should unite to demand an OFFICIAL restoration of Roger and others to their rightful places in baseball history.

I remember it exactly as he said. I had a Roger Maris mitt, gave it to my son. Maris hit his 61 hrs. in less at bats in 162 games, than Ruth hit his 60 in 154 games. That was the only stat that really mattered, but not to Frick the prick.

roger maris got shit on by the board even though he was amazing, he always thought he held a seperate record of 61* beating babe ruths 60. it wasnt until 1991 the MLB board made it where ther was only one record and roger owned it. 5 years before he passed away
