Take Out (Canadian 2000). Directed, Co-Written & Produced by Jean-Francois Monette. Director of Photography, Michael Wees. Editor, Annie Ilkow. Screenplay by Nancy Hughes based on short story by Derek Brown, intricately crafted work hits all the right notes in its depiction of homosexual awakening, thanks to a spot-on performance from Gianpaolo Venuta as the gay teen of the piece, coupled with the ever solid work of indie star Daniel MacIvor of Whole New Thing fame and who here stars as Pete, a man with a liking for home deliveries and perhaps something more on the side. Starring: Daniel MacIvor, Gianpaolo Venuta, Benjamin Plener, Kaya McGregor,

@happyhenry2012 It depends on where you live. Some areas are safer than others, but no Aussie with any sense would ever think of leaving their door unlocked let alone open. It'd be like hanging a big sign over your front door inviting burglars inside to rob you. Like most countries, we also have our fair share of violent crime - bashings, stabbings, shootings, rape, murders, etc. :-[

@BunyipBlue1 I watched a TV program awhile back and unlike gun-toting, ultra-violent, fortress America, where everyone lives in fear of being shot or robbed, Canadians commonly leave their front doors unlocked as they don't have the same gun culture or high levels of violent crime. How is it in Austrailia?

@littlemonster4life1 i think what it conveys at the end is the fortune that rory gets as a gift -- the mansion.

Crikey, don't people lock or even close their doors in that neighbourhood? Anyone could just walk in! :-{
