I don't see how those vocals are cosidered talent. I guess that's the answer if you have not skill. Just make noise and let the band do the rest of the work. If I were playing in the group, other than the vocalist, I would feel cheated. I guess they will never have to worry about someone asking, "what was the song about"? It's really about nothing.
