@DarkVoidification Most western teachers will teach you to hold the bow by its base with three finger and thumb with pinky finger on top, whereas most oriental (indian, chinese, Japanese and such) teachers will teach four fingers and thumb pinch grip, 7-17cm along the shaft of the bow. I had a Thai teacher and she taught me this, then my sister's teacher asked my why I held the bow "wrong" because she, as an Englishwoman, taught the grip differently.

inpossible because of the dfference of a violin and a guttar, because when you strum a gutar it vibrates all strings, and with violin it vibrates only one string
