@CanonLandscape its easy..but you have to try itout for yourself..first dont work with shitty JPGs..open the RAW file in camera raw..start with adding FILL LIGHT until you see all details that you want..boost some CLARITY for higher contrast in the colors..add some Saturation if you want..when you add fill light the picture becomes more bright so lower the brightness from 50 to 25-30..as for the curves..dont change them..the final HDR effect that he gets is from HDR TONING in PS

I don't see why the haters be hating this video. If you'd done step by step changes on one of YOUR photos there's little to no chance that the exact same settings can be applied to THEIR photo.
Saying what setting you altered and then showing the result of it was much more useful.
The haters should stop leaving comments and actually open up lightroom for themselves and then they might realise how irrelevant seeing EXACTLY where someone else placed their sliders is to their own work!

I love your photos much, but no offence u use a little to much manipoulating :S When u can se that the color is not correct and many many pixles ore grains pop out its time to give up :S Sorry but i loved the raw image best.. But hey, i love all of your work and vid's so ceep it up!

@khashy87 doesn't called photography??? Right!! So go back to film... Amazing things can be done in the dark room :D
This is why he is a pro and your not!
Thing is you titled this How to edit landscape shots, but you actually don't tell us how to do it at all. All you do is show us your work, beginning and end.
Nice photos, useless tutorial.

Matt, I thought this was incredibly useful! I can see why some people are upset... they want to see specifically how you alter curves/fill light/etc. But for anyone who has ever toyed with Photoshop even a little it's self-explanatory. For me it was more useful seeing how you RAW images came out of the camera; it makes me feel like I'm more on track with seascape photography than I thought. So thanks for uploading this, can't wait to see more of your videos.

@SwimmingUpCurrents thank you. Yes, some people want to see every little detail, not sure how I feel about that - may do in future.
Glad you liked it.

I thought this is about how to edit a photo? Title should be before and after post processing! Very disappointed! Didnt learn anything at all!

@mikenzel4576 fair point - your suggested title IS more accurate. I plan to do more detailed editing videos - I just havent gotten around to it. I will do that.
