@cathy91G You know because co many Philipino have Spanish blood. that's the reason why. They have so many music bands playing English songs on many cruise ships around the word, in top hotels in Vietnam, HK, Singapore, Malaysia etc. Apparently English is the main language for educated people besides Spanish and some local ones. Hope this helps.
-
@paulle8 I never heard Philipino music, so I have no comment at it. But I'm curious are they singing in English or their own language? As I know Philipino people speak influency in English.
-
@cathy91G Of course, you are right! Vietnam had a colonial culture and then war culture. That explains the facts you'd mentioned. The positive side is the Vietnamese enjoy and know more Western, other Asian and worldly cultural products than the mainland Chinese and many other Asian people. In fact, a poor/small country always produces far less talented people than a rich/huge one. The Philipino are the best in music even better than the Chinese, Korea and are everywhere in HK, China.

@ChiefMomoCow WTH. where is the same? Do u ever see vietnamese word, alphabet? Vietnamese use French character alphabet, but yes a lot of Vietnamese word pronoun the same as canto. Cuz is just infuency from culture. However, the 2 language is totally different. Maybe maderine and canto is better way to compare.

@paulle8 Actually really less chinese song that being translate from English. There is some, but not much like Vietnamese. They take so much song from china and korea. If u pay attention in Taiwan entertainment, most of their famous artist are really talented. They make their own song such as Jay chou and wang lee hom. In Vietnam, I didn't see much their famous singer that can produce their own song.
Original version is always the best one. Please don't use "steal", it's "translating". Think of thousands of English songs being translated into Chinese, Spanish, French, Japanese, and most of other languages of the world. But nobody feel shameful about it. People always happy to share something good to otrhers!
