Carol Riddick began her career performing with local bands in Philadelphia. It was after her performance at a wedding that she met James Lassiter who managed Jeff Townes and Will Smith a/k/a "Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince". That introduction led to studio session work at Jeff Townes' production company, "A Touch of Jazz, Inc.". She began to tour with the duo, and was the featured vocalist at the wedding of Will Smith. Carol's local buzz quickly spread on a national level which resulted in her signing a recording contract with Motown Records. She received high acclaim from the dance single "Take Your Time", which was released in the United Kingdom. It received rave reviews and appeared on the charts for several weeks. She has written for and with a wide range of artists, including Terry Ellis of En Vogue. The song, "Tomorrow" which appeared on Terry's Debut CD "Southern Gal", was thought by many to be the crown jewel of the album. She was also the featured artist on the following projects: "Loving You" (Larry Gold presents Don Cello and Friends), "Can You Come Over" (Jeff Bradshaw's "Bone Deep") and "Float" (Grammy-nominated artist, Anthony Hamilton's debut CD, "Comin' From Where I'm From"). Carol's contribution to both Larry Gold and Jeff Bradshaw's projects expanded even further, as she co-wrote the songs on which she appeared. She can be heard frequently with Multi-platinum selling recording artist, Musiq, on "Soulstar", "Bestfriend", "Dontchange" and "Youloveme". Additional collaborations include: "Family Song (Reprise)" from Kindred The Family Soul's album ("Surrender To Love"), Jill Scott's ("Experience Jill Scott 826+") and Norman Brown's "I Might", which received medium rotation airplay throughout the country. Carol has worked with and/or shared the stage with various artists and producers including, Brian McKnight, Myron, James Poyser, Keith Crouch, Mario Winans, Malik Pendleton, Yolanda Adams, Herb Middleton, and a host of others. Her talents have been shared on stages throughout the world. Her debut album, "Moments Like This", was released in 2006.
