this is a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy being performed by Dr Craig Taylor of Sydney Australia to treat obesity. The white strips along the staple line are called Peristrips and help ensure an accurate staple line. They dissolve after a few weeks. The bougie size used was 32 French.
