I have run 10 marathons 3 of them in Boston, Chicago, Houston, Dallas and Austin (3) Believe me running a marathon is challenging . My advice to a novice runner is run and enjoyed it and do not hurt yourself
you're too young to run a marathon! you can start running any other distances but not marathon yet till you're at least 22-26 years old. You can ran 5k and 10k or compete in track and field
This was my first Marathon and i must say it was an unforgettable experience, running in the rain was so much fun, the people cheering us on was felt great. I can now say I'm part of the Los Angeles Marathon History... I'm Coming back next year and i hope it rains again jajaja...
@310Loki310 Thank you VERY much for your support. Every year, folks come out to give encouragement, and they have no idea how much they are appreciated for doing so.
This year, a fellow runner and I, struggling along in pounding rain, commented several times about how astonished and grateful we were to have folks like you out there for us.
My running group is sharing our marathon stories, and there are many mentions of how a total stranger helped them to continue.
I see my school hehe
