  • I think most people out there still believe that Paulson and Geithner and the like just one day decided to go and waste the last 4 years of their professional life in Washington to work "for the governement" just because... because... their dream was to spend time in Washington with bureaucrats.

The biggest (the only?) bait for them to actually apply for any position is the tax-exemption window they get.

    "to avoid conflicts of interest"

    (talk about one)

  • You bet - it's the greatest scam around I would say. I mean - it's not a scam per say. They just make it look as a "solution" to avoid having "conflicts of interest" and so "elected officials" have a "window" to sell all assets "tax-free". Why do you think Paulson took the job - by moving directly to the government the guy sold North of 750 million USDs worth of stuff and never paid a penny to the government...

  • Is this sell off something politicians get? I didn´t know that.

  • I used to think that the politicians were the problem - with age I've noticed that politicians are just puppets who do what the "crowd" wants. We do not need to educate politicians. We need to educate the mass - and then puppets will naturally do the right thing. Politicians are only a sympton. The real disease is the crowd's "thinking". Peter's only reason (the only one I can think of) to go to the senate is to get access to the "one-year" sell-all-assets pay-no-tax window following election...

  • Why will he sell his stuff tax free? Everyone pays taxes. Why is it wrong to make millions if you do it honestly? Why do you say he´s brilliant and then trash him?

  • Peter is brilliant. Just sorry to hear he's running for Senate just for the Tax Break he'll get for selling all his stuff tax-free if he's elected. Sorry to hear that some believe this guy actually wants (wants) to "go and talk some sense to people in Washington" instead of managing his business and make millions - the same guy who's been trashing the gov since he was 4 and started to speak.

  • I am so glad you caught this a tape, Palin. Great work!

  • Keep speaking the TRUTH Peter!!! It is spreading like a brush fire!

  • @audiohi

    I agree. He did well.
