  • I trained Brazilian jiu jitsu in Brazil for several years and have been studying it deeply, my opinion is that Eddie Bravo was able to create and apply effectively the Rubber guard, he also adapted other forms(not the traditional ones) of holding the opponent in the guard that works better for the rubber guard so all this combined together has proved to be effective he is a pioneer and a creator for that reason he deserves all the respect from all Jiu Jitsu practitioners around the world.

  • @cnakm

I thought his fame came from tapping a blackbelt Gracie, as a brown belt? But you do have a point, people who give things silly names can't possibly be good grapplers, and what kind of idiot would train in a system that is not aware people only attack you with a gi on.

  • The names are terrible, but god damn the techniques is AMAZING!!!!!! Eddie Bravo for the win!

  • @joncobber Yes. Lol! Chill dog, retard control, (for people with "retard strength" I guess, and then the infamous crack head control, lol! :D Gotta love it!

  • Does he say ''crack-head'' control??

  • damn i wish there was a 10th planet near me.

  • love playing rubberguard. If you have the flexibility, it's very useful especially against a bigger opponent

  • Dude watch the hair man!!

  • to each his own hes proved his worth

  • @travesham yea i definitely am.im seeing improvement in my flexibility already.i can now pull rubber guard from my closed guard, where as before i had to turn at an angle or get foot on hip control in guard

  • @jas108 Your arms won't get longer (assuming you're pretty much fully grown), but you can always become more flexible in your legs and hips. It'll take quite a few uncomfortable hours of your life to really see a real difference in flexibility, but guys like Eddie, Aoki and BJ Penn are examples of how it can be a great asset. Hell, BJ uses his legs like arms on the floor. Stretch a lot. It's worth it.

  • @pocco666 its kinda hard to hold the other foot in place if u hook under like mission.unless ur arms are pretty long
