Spoken word... If you read it ... read it aloud and with feeling....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Intense thoughts of you wash over me like a spring rain.
Our reality is now just a faded ink stained parchment
crumpled up in the back corners of our lives
I clamor to the edge and toss in a penny or two sometimes
Just waiting for the soft thoughts of you to cover me
again...

Then the darkness of it all comes back to me
The lost possibilities and insecurities that infect us surround me
And "over the pond" becomes an ocean stretching out before us
Our worlds become as sunrise and sunset, forever circling
but never embracing.
I swallow that pill...
It comes with chilling side effects, that could ware off over time...
Time...
The ever present example that my thoughts are forever
connected to yours and I sometimes wonder if it is an open circuit...

But that mystery will remain, for what is left of us may be
found someday...
Because I am told that parchment seldom fades.....

-------------------------------
and yes I know parchment CAN fade, but let it go... I said I am TOLD...haha....
Love you guys

  • VERY GOOD

  • This is really good. I was among the first to see it and tried to comment, needed batteries in my keyboard, communication crisis, home clutter meltdown. Whoa, that was TEN days ago?!? I'll do my best to be a better commenter from now on. This is really good.

  • Woh magnificent... *flatens hairs on back of neck*

  • Ah nice! I like, well read and written.

"Faded ink stained parchment crumpled up in the back corner of our lives" Especially like this analogy.

  • Good poem... But I bit too contrast on the video.
