I was the Dave Clark Five ghost writer, I also wrote early early songs like , Mulberry Bush', 'All of the time', 'Can I trust you', 'No time to lose', and later 'Bit's and pieces, and 'Anyway you want it. Dave Clark has his name on my songs, but he did not write one word, or one note of the music, things like that went on back then. And yes, I wrote it for Vicky, my Wife.
I know so many did it, but, I hate the lip syncing. Also, DC5 didn't write "because". Some country guy wrote it for his wife. Sweet tune. Don't get me wrong btw, I love the DC5.
It's great to finally see the DC-5 again. I was about 13 when this song was out, and it seems like I am transported back to 1965. Thanks for posting this video. We miss Mike.

Almost all those shows were lip-synching , but it is a great love song . My favorite of al time , and not guitar , amazing !
