A2 Music Tech - Heart Of Glass

My first piece of coursework for A2 Music Technology this year. For our first assignment, we had to replicate the song 'Heart of Glass' by Blondie by using midi sequencing on Logic Pro 8, and then record 3 live tracks into the mix.

Hey we did the same thing as you at first doing the wrong version; and it's electronic drums not a xylophone lol. Was well pissed when our teacher told us it was the wrong version a couple o days before we're meant to move on. But changed to the other coz you could loose marks sending the wrong version in on accuracy, even tho this version harder and better. Cool tho :)

@pippppppppp1 Meh, too late now eh :( but o well, I really hope not too many marks are lost, I mean this version is literally like a radio edit from the other one... It's just cut down on repeated sections :P

Very good. Just one thing though, I think you've got the wrong version of the song. It's the Atomic: The Very Best Of Blondie version we're meant to do, and that doesn't have the 'xylophone' thingy at the beginning.

@qebiko Yeahh I just realised there were 2 versions when I almost finished it ): the other one is extended a bit, but my teacher said just go along with this... one thing for certain, the xylophone thingy is deffinitely played in the background of the track

@Benjowith91fries Oh right ok. Didn't realise it was in the background. The thing that I've got is a gated synth which sounds pretty close. Do you mean the xylophone thingy was in the Atomic: Very Best Of Blondie version?
