standards have changed since, this now only applies on child or infant cardiac arrest if you are the only responder with nobody nearby.

They are trying to say, that in that one study, it seemed that if there has been more than five minutes of cardiac arrest without cpr, you should prefer cpr for two minutes before defibrillation to get better results. Nowadays (at least in Finland) we again prefer immediate (almost: other one of paramedics performs cpr while another sets the defibrillation pads) defibrillation even if there has been no cpr before that.

just chest is nowhere near helpful as defibrillators, it's just better that standing there

Not all arrests are MI related, but electrophysiological or even functional due to outflow.
