There was a time in history the Viet Cong were allies against the Japanese in WWII; rescuing downed Allied American British and American pilots. Also a source of Intelligence on Japanese naval movements. Ho Chi Minh and his followers were promised that French foreign rule would end. This would turn out to be another broken promise. Personally, the whole history of this tragedy should never be forgotten. Vietnam made Americans look at the horror of what war is.... We seem to learn nothing.
