this song is the worst from the whole project. No great idea, no great solo, no moving rhythm. Even Pisano doing his best can not save it. Better listen to the other songs of this project.
@pickyricky1 i was just watching all these videos and thinking, wow its great that nobodys bothering comparing the two and squabling like on other videos...
@leadimprov who cares! I am tired of people comparing guitar players to other players. Roy can do things that Joe can't do and vice versa. I have been playing professionally for 25 years and all styles and I have the utmost respect for both of them, but I don't think of playing music a contest. Just saying.....
I saw Joe at a small club in Hollywood back in 1987. His ability to play chordal runs was incredible. On all these videos with Roy you will notice that he keeps a pick in his mouth. I haven't seen him take it out during these videos. But when I saw let me tell you he could shred with the best of them. Even with the chordal segments he made it look effortless.

I love Joe Pass and enjoy Roy too, but this is a musical odd couple. To my ear, it just doesn't work.

Hey I'm a big Roy Clark fan. Is this a tv special or is this available on DVD, VHS

Joe Pass is in an entirely different league than Roy Clark. Roy's an amateur next to Joe.
