  • I met Senator Hart in the fall of 1976 while he made one of his last visits to the Senate. He took time to talk to a young intern for 15 minutes asking of my interests and my thoughts on working on the Hill. I miss his leadership and trusted respect from all his colleagues. He was a great and respected person and politician. I often invoke his name when people ask to name a politician that I trust.....He was the giant among giants with whom he served.
