I'm guessing it was similar to how The Chart Show worked- the combination of using their own sample of shops and the fact it missed out Saturday's sales would have made the chart different. The following week they declare The Darkness as Christmas Number 1 even though Gary Jules got it (I might upload that top ten at some point).
How did they count this chart ? Its different from the official singles chart in the sense that Cliff Richard's song Santa's List only made it to number 5 in December 2003 !!!!
