As for the general shroobs, they really made that game probably the most melancholic game compared to all the Mario games. There were some pretty sad sights. There were actually those who "died" in that game.
(SPOILER ALERT IN PARENTHESIS: many of them were revived, but those are still really sad moments if it's your first time playing the game)

No offense to fans of everyone's favorite chortling mad scientist but I think these guys were better than Fawful. They were actually hard to defeat. Fawful and his minions were easy. The only hard enemies in BiS are the giant Bowser bosses.
