The final video of my Philadelphia journey. South Street is a quirky place with unusual shops, lots of pubs, good food and curious sights. On Friday or Saturday evenings, the place is completely mobbed.

The music is whatever I could uncover hidden on my HD that was unlicensed. The first song was something a friend of mine made with a web-based music program and the second piece is the legendary Dr. Whom theme song. Listen and weep tears of awe!

  • wish I was still there sometimes, worked across from barefoot shoes in a little place called Tigerlily.

  • @123alicorn I love it there and that whole area of Philly (even if it is a bit touristy). Looking forward to going back very soon. I live right in New Jersey, about an hour away.

  • haha cute! I love how you said the Battleship New Jersey (its real name) is going to protect Philly from Jersey. I'm not too sure about thaat. heheheeh *joking around*

  • @Kayiko Being from jersey myself, I know they'd need more than a big ship to stop us! Ha ha ha!

  • South Street used to be a Punk heaven. Zipperheads, the Dead milkmen. I guess not anymore....too bad, it was was really cool.

  • Everything changes, I suppose.

  • Yes. The so-called 'gum trees' have been cut down. Rather sad.

  • I do not live in Philly but, like you, I used to. I lived in the Chestnut Hill area. I also lived in a little town called Willow Grove, which is not far rom there.

I don't know specifically which trees you mean so i can't say for sure. Trees are always better than lamps, though.
