Lucca St. Pierre

On August 23, 2009, at 6:12 in the morning, Lucca Joel St. Pierre entered this old world, weighing only 6 lbs. 11.8 oz & barely measuring 18 1/2" long. Soon you will see, that this tiny little baby had the awesome ability to change people's lives, especially mine, his Ma Ma Pam's.

You see, Misty, Lucca's mom had been experiencing pre term labor as early as 28 weeks. Although, Lucca wasn't scheduled to arrive until late September, September 29th to be exact.

How awesome we all thought that perhaps Lucca would be born on my birthday, his Ma Ma Pam's, September 27th. But, time would prove otherwise, as it soon became evident that Lucca was trying his hardest, simply to be born.

July quickly turned into August, and yes, Misty was still experiencing pre term labor. We were getting closer it seemed, we were almost there......and with every passing hour, Lucca became just more & more insistent.

On a visit to the Caritas in Birmingham, Alabama, early in July, Misty and I, her mother, were told that one of the visionaries from Medjugorje had once asked Our Blessed Mother in an apparition, when was Her true birth.

Our Lady responded, "AUGUST 5TH". Wow, how awesome is that, Misty and I both thought.

However, the trials and anxieties of motherhood were mounting stronger & stronger with Misty's pre term labor, and so Misty prayed. If Lucca were to be born sooner than expected, what an honor and privilege it would be, if he were born on Our Blessed Mother's Birthday, August 5th.

Faithfully believing the love that Jesus and Mary has for us all, Misty knew that in the end......everything would be ok. Surprisingly, Misty made it to 34 weeks....before Lucca did make his grand debut.

Well, Lucca wasn't born on August 5th as his mother prayed, but soon we learned exactly the scenario that Jesus and Mary had planned out for the birth of baby Lucca. Oh, one we never dreamed of, certainly never thought of & definitely never expected.

You see the date my mother, Lucca's great grandmother, Evelyn Blank Poche' passed away, was August 23, 1991 & against all odds it seemed, that Lucca would ever be born on that day, why he couldn't..... no way............but he was. Yes, Lucca was born at the same time of her passing too.

Truly to us there's a message that has to be reckoned with, and we, his family can see it very clearly. You see, for the past 18 years, the month of August had always been a most depressing month to me, his Ma Ma Pam, not to mention the actual day itself, August 23rd.

But when Lucca was born all that was changed, for he managed to bring with him, new life, new hope and especially for me, his grandmother, a new beginning, for a new little life.

Truly Lucca is a testimony for us all. For he's a beautiful, strong & healthy little baby boy, with life just waiting at his footsteps.

Yes, we've certainly been blessed from the heavens above....... that's plain for all to see. From up above, our Beautiful Blessed Mother kept close watch over Lucca while still in his mother's womb, for great plans, She knew Her Son, Jesus, had waiting.......just for him.

And in that July when his mother had traveled to Birmingham, Alabama to the Caritas, she found a beautiful baby shawl there.......perfect she thought....... in which to carry her infant son upon his birth.

And yes it was Mary, Herself, who in an apparation with Maria, one of the six visionaries from Medjugorje, on July 3, 2009, who was also visiting at the Caritas, blessed this beautiful shawl........especially........... for baby Lucca.

We, Lucca's family, are so grateful for this beautiful gift that we've received. With much love and praise in our hearts, truly we owe Them Both, Jesus & Mary, our sincere debt of gratitude.

And yes, it's most certainly true, that this tiny little body as witnessed in this video, had the enormous & awesome ability, to make this old world of ours, not only for us, but for others as well, a much better place in which to live.

And grateful are we to his Guardian Angel, St. Mark, for keeping close watch over him, til he arrived safely, in the arms of his mother and father.

And yes, this writer knows of one other guardian angel Lucca had there in heaven, his great grandmother, Evelyn Blank Poche'. For I know that my beloved mother, Evelyn, held Lucca close in her arms, as she once did for me....& with great joy in her heart, she rocked and cradled him tenderly, until it was time for him to go.

"Heaven, I know, is truly missing this angel boy", and yes, it's ohhhhh, so very, very true, that every good gift & every perfect gift, is sent from up above.

So as the old saying goes, "Write it on your heart that the ones you love, are life's most precious gifts".

And so, to our precious little gift from up above, may God bless you always, from the top of your head to the bottom of your tiny little feet......forever & ever!

Sweet Lucca..Welcome to our world..we are so blessed to have you with us. You will change so many lives...you will show them love they wouldn't have realized without you!!! I know cause my Matthew came into our lives 29 years ago, August 23, 1981 and has changed our lives..adding unbelievable love!!!
