Lenovo makes some of the quietest computers out there. Especially the T and X series are almost silent. I have a T42 and X200 and both are virtually silent. If you have linux installed, you can get a program called tpfan-admin that lets you set the fan thresholds; otherwise the fan is at max speed because the fan control driver is not Linux compatible.

Some people complain about the fan that it's always blowing even if you haven't programms running and it's loud.
What would you say about that?

You do know that thinkpads have spill resistant keyboards don't you? they have channels under the keys that allow spilled liquids to run throught the laptop through a hole in the bottom.
This was simply just an example of it working.
