the company orange tools came out with a drill press adapter that drills your pocket for you hinge as well as your pilot holes for the screws at the same time, saves a ton of time and is much more accurate

@leopaldbutters I've never been sold on those. They are the equivalent of using a mortising attachment. If the chisel gets tweaked a little one way or another, it messes up the whole mortise. Eventually I'll buy a blum mini press. In the meantime I'll spend the extra 20 seconds and drill by hand.

Cherry faces and natural Maple cases. No better combination in my opinion. A few nice tips, thanks. Do you have much trouble getting customers to pay for the premium materials and construction methods you use? I do most of the same things, but I'm not making a living from it.

@mithrandir10001 If the customer wants it, then they're willing to pay for it. I get a few in here that want the best for cheap. No soup for them. As far as construction... the customers that know quality appreciate all that I do. Most of my kitchens are my customers second, they know what they didn't like about their first, and are willing to pay.

You mentioned "Prefinished Maple". I gather they are just top coated with transparent finish and have the natural Maple color. Is my understanding correct that these do not have any stain just the top coat (Polyutherene etc).
