Peregrine Falcon Chicks Banded (May 14, 2012)

MDC, Ameren Missouri and the World Bird Sanctuary have partnered to provide a bird's-eye view of peregrine falcons raising chicks in a nest box at Ameren's Sioux Energy Center in St. Louis. The chicks were banded on May 14, 2012.

I thoroughly enjoyed following these little guys this year and look forward to next year. If you minimized the page and then maximized it again, the video would run faster than normal until it caught up to live. They looked like the Keystone Cops in a silent movie! I found myself humming the piano accompaniment (music to tie the damsel in distress to the railroad tracks by). In this video, they look like the overnight lockup at the county jail. One of them should have a harmonica!
