I recorded this in the summer of 1996. The influences here are numerous: Nirvana, Jefferson Airplane, and believe it or not "The Bomb" which is by the Bucketheads I believe (It's known for the catchy "Street sounds swirling through my mind" lyrics often erroneously translated "These sounds fall into my mind" - which remixes of the tune are mistakenly named after from time to time).

The overriding influence is Jefferson Airplane's "Don't You Want Somebody To Love." After watching the "Cable Guy" movie, I couldn't remember how it went and I literally started playing it the way I remembered it on the keyboard before adapting to guitar.

Shortly afterwards I realized I had completely written an original piece thinking I was covering "Don't You Want Somebody To Love" the whole time.

The arrangement and vocal melody were influenced by Nirvana and the Buckethead's "The Bomb."

For inquiring engineers production involved an Epiphone S320 guitar through a zoom effects processor hooked up to a Crate Amp recorded onto a Fostex cassette 4 Track which I still own. The reverb on the vocals is a spring reverb.
