Made (in a week, puppets and all!) for a contest held by Ain't It Cool News in anticipation of Peter Jackson's King Kong and took first prize.

The challenge was to invent a creature that might also inhabit Skull Island and have Kong fight it - I decided to shoot it from Kong's perspective to both make my entry stand out from the others (who in their right mind does a first-person stop-motion fight scene?) and easier to do since I only had to animate one and a half characters rather than two.

No post-production other than sound work was done - this is all classic in-camera stop-motion animation.
