@cabdolla Oh man, I had no idea... Its a good thing I wasn't cited then! Thanks Alot man, Ill have to look into that when I have some flight time (And money)

@volksracing1 Um, thats illegal dude. You are not allowed to make permanent modifications to the airplane by yourself (see FARS Part 43). Your airplane has to be re-certified now as "experimental" unless you have your modification looked over and approved by an official FAA Administrator.

Awesome! But err...when do you get any time to look outside? :)

@futurepilot764 You can rent one in San Diego for like $199 /Hr. Its a 2007 Cirrus SR 20 with full glass cockpit. and a 2004 SR22-G2 for like $285/Hr

Its not about the price of renting the aircraft its about learning from the basic stuff and then you can get to appreciate one of this systems and not freak out when you fly an airplane without it.

I know EXACTLY how you feel! Now my goal is to someday own a jet. (suuuuuuuuuuuuure...)

That system is amazing but I personally still like my idea. I own a SR20S solely because Im not insanely wealthy and cant afford a 22. Anyway I got the base version with only the full technology package and 3 blade prop. One night I was flying with a friend in his craft and the weather got a little hectic... Without a shutter he switched on his infrared... That night I purchased an infrared camera, mounted it to the belly of my fuselage and wired into my control panel. Infrared for 100 bucks :)
