The disease can affect the skin, mucous membranes, and eyes and some of the nerves that are located outside the central nervous system (peripheral nerves). These are primarily the nerves of the hands, feet, and eyes, and some of the nerves in the skin. In severe, untreated cases, loss of sensation, muscle paralysis of hands and feet, disfigurement, and blindness may occur.

Whatever may be the reasons, this is a matter worth doing research so that some useful thing may come out.
Even if nerves are destroyed, cells can not withstand that heat, they are organic and bound to burn at that heat,if it is true then it is a miracle for science and is worth doing research. DPP

any food that is less hygienic will taste super good

STFU everyone, thats real food, and it tastes good too. If you want to complain about hygiene, then don't eat it.

You are right, this is old tricks, well, if i see someone using their dirty hand to cook, why would you eat? well. most shocking thing is that Media promote this king of stuff..
Let Western science explain this? Is that boiling oil or not? Why do his hands not suffer from the ususl effects of 'burns'? Is conventional science missing something? My view is that India is a land where religion and science can live side by side.

Good for Karshankaka and maybe he has mastered the art of managing pain or anti-burn formula but I would not want to eat those gotas. It's simply not hygienic. All the sweat and dirt on the hand surely does contribute to taste ! Stop selling bhajias but by all means have a world record on putting your hands into hot oil.
