  • I vote yes on this phase of Larry Young's amazing career as well as 'Electric Lady Land', 'Bitches Brew', 'Newark'. I really like this guy.

  • 伝統、革新、酸いも甘いも知り尽くした、スーパーオルガニストの70年代中期の、猛烈ファンキーサウンド、ギターはコリエルか? 当時手に入らず・・! #jazzm

  • ....I was there as a young man, co-producing this album and "Fuel"...Larry was a wonderful gentle giant of a man...who was badly served by management and his label... the sessions were a mess of jamming and confusion...quite an eye-opener for a young man working with a legend.... I could not believe what I was seeing, hearing, and what was dropped in my lap to make sense of.... RIP Larry..

  • Larry Young is as influential a musical genius with the Hammond B3, as the great Milt Buckner! Thankfully their music will live on for us to enjoy...

  • my old friend Danny Toan on guitar here..Danny doesn't really stretch or peak out here, and is way back is the mix....but burned the walls down live w Larry as well as with John Lee and Gerry Brown. Larry is a desert island favorite.

  • Larry Young is a "BEAST"!

  • This is the shit

  • recently got the Love Cry Want recordings on vinyl. Totally insane (and brilliant) It's before he started to this more large scale audience focused fusion which wasn't his thing...you can hear it (still has it's moments). The Love Cry Want sessions weren't released in 1972 because it was too much ahead of it's time. even now it's pretty weird...check it out!

  • I remember having this album and being disappointed in it, but Larry's style is there. One of the truly great, unique players. It took decades for someone to emulate him.
